Information comes freer everyday.

Apr. 9th, 2007 | 12:20 am

With the sudden, and almost 'blast-on-the-scene' style, FaceBook has caught many people online.

The funny thing that goes along with FaceBook are the numerous amounts of full names people are willing to put. Not only that, but full birthdays, hometowns, and spewing other bits of personal information willy-nilly online. In today's world of identity theft, one might wish to aviod placing so many bits of personal information in such an open place. Rather, people are sharing it more and more online without fear.

Fair enough, we all have placed something online at some point that we should not have when it comes to our personal information. Saying, "It was my X birthday yesterday," leaves an obvious clue to what your real birthday is.

On a better note, Canucks are going to the play-offs. I may be going down to Victoria this weekend.

Hang overs?

Apr. 2nd, 2007 | 10:19 pm

It was my birthday a few days ago: What a night! Of course, all it involved was friends drinking around a pub table. I managed to consume 10 gin martinis. That's right, 10! That's 20oz of gin in one short evening.

Dinner was awesome at The Keg. Christina sat on a tiny piece of glass, and wasn't cut from it, but it bought her the meal!

I got some rad gifts, such as a nifty wind breaker and a new Canucks shirt.

Good birthday, except the 2 day hangover symptoms!

Where the streets have no name

Mar. 29th, 2007 | 08:53 am

Well, it is official: The Canucks are going to the play offs this year. I'm becoming more and more of a fan. All I've asked for my birthday is Canucks stuff. Whenever I hear U2's 'Where the Streets have No Name' I get tingles down my spine.

I think this is going to be the year for my team! All I need now is to get tickets to see a playoff game!

I have only one paper left to write, and then the four exams. This semester is almost done. I think this is the year I've grown the most; not only as a student, but as a person. I've found some direction in my life that I didn't have before. I know what I want to do with myself, my ambition, and my life. If I keep this up, I'm going to end up somewhere interesting overseas doing graduate work going for my clinical degree. Perfect.

Stress!

Mar. 15th, 2007 | 09:55 am

I have a large paper due today that I have not yet finished. It's on autism, and I'm still not finished. I'm still sick, which is not making it easy to write.

Cursed illness.

I bite my thumb at you, sir!

Mar. 13th, 2007 | 01:32 pm

Last night Cole and I decided to try and quell my flu-ish fever with a blizzard from Dairy Queen. Feeling the way I was (and Cole with the way he is), we ventured out in our PJ's (the socially acceptable ones) to pick up our cool treats. While in line, waiting for our peanutbutter cup blizzards, a well dressed fellow and his friend entered the store. The well dress me came over, looked at me, and left out a "hrmph!" He then walked over to place his order.

I took it upon myself at that point to make a fool of him in front of the people in the store. Because of his straight-forward movements, most of the people in the store noticed him approach me and make his scoff. I then turned to Cole and started to explain the complexities associated with diagnosing autism in pre-, peri-, and neonatal children with respect to the presence of ataxia due to congenital and genetic predispositions. Needless to say, the well dressed man turned bright red, and left without getting his food, even though he already paid.

Midterms: Complete!

Mar. 4th, 2007 | 06:00 pm

Clinical tests are damn hard. I should have just memorized the DSM-IV-TR for that mofo.

I pwnt stats, with a 92% on the exams, including acing the multiple choice.

I rocked my sex exam, but I have to wait a week before I get the results on that one.

Now, just to write three papers and do one presentation. Wow, nice semester!
